Well, more of a tilapia sashimi, but heck, colloquially it’s tilapia sushi. While it had never occurred to me that one could eat tilapia raw, this was a wonderful treat from Miya’s Sushi. It had been marinated in beet juice for color and then frozen and sliced into thin discs. The sushi was drizzled in oil of clove, sea salt, hot pepper, and a bunch of other things that created a numbness in one’s mouth when eaten. A tasty and truly bizarre (in a good way) experience. Highly recommended. It is wonderful where sushi is going.
